Mikkel Thor Olsen is a clinical researcher, MD, PhD at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, Denmark. His expertise centres around in-hospital diabetes management and characteristics, where he serves as an investigator in multiple national and international clinical trials.

He particularly focuses on diabetes technologies in the hospital setting and has pioneered the use of continuous glucose monitors (CGM) combined with CGM-based insulin titration protocols.
