Jan Gojda is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Charles University (CU) in Prague, Czech Republic. He obtained his PhD in Biomedicine, focusing on the role of nutritional factors in the development of insulin resistance. In his research, he has examined how branched-chain amino acids influence the relationship between nutrition, the intestinal microbiome, and health outcomes.
Dr Gojda is a consultant in Diabetology, Endocrinology, Clinical Nutrition, and Intensive Metabolic Care at Kralovské Vinohrady University Hospital, where he also serves as Vice-Chair for Research. He has acted as a principal investigator in both national and European research consortia. Recognised for his contributions, he has published in the fields of diabetes, clinical nutrition, and epidemiology. Additionally, he is a member of the EASD Early Career Academy and Postgraduate Education Committees.
Duality of Interest: Within the last five years, Jan Gojda has received honoraria for Advisory Board from Takeda Pharmaceutical Inc., Czech Rep., and served as PI-designee in a single industry-driven study (STARS clinical trial of apraglutide).
