Daniel Gordin works as a consultant nephrologist and vascular medicine specialist at the Helsinki University Central Hospital and Helsinki Hypertension Center of Excellence in Finland. He is an associate professor and senior lecturer in internal medicine at the University of Helsinki. Dr Gordin undertook his postdoctoral training as the Mary K Iacocca Senior Research Fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston. His research focus at Minerva Foundation Institute for Medical Research is on cardiorenal complications.
