My name is Carel Le Roux and I work as a clinician scientist in Dublin and in London and I’ve really been intrigued to understand the mechanisms of metabolic surgery.

This module examines the various mechanisms by which metabolic surgery helps achieve enduring weight loss and benefits multiple physiological processes of particular significance in type 2 diabetes and obesity.
