Hello, my name is Dominik Pesta. I am a group leader at the German Aerospace Center in Cologne, Germany. I am a tenure track Professor of Translational Metabolism at the University of Cologne and I’m a guest scientist at the German Diabetes Center (DDZ) in Dusseldorf. Hi, my name is Richard Bracken. I’m a Professor in Exercise Physiology at Swansea University, UK. In this module, we will be talking about the promotion of physical activity in the management of diabetes. This is an introductory module for healthcare practitioners looking to improve their understanding and knowledge of the importance of physical activity in the management of diabetes.

This module explores the promotion of physical activity, combining practical advice on the considerations associated with prescribing exercise to people with diabetes with opportunities for healthcare professionals to improve their understanding of the importance of physical activity in the health and wellbeing of people with diabetes.
