Hello. My name is Solomon Tesfaye, and I'm Professor of Diabetes Medicine at the University of Sheffield, UK. And this module is going to look at management of painful diabetic neuropathy in clinical practice.

This module takes a closer look at managing painful diabetic neuropathy in clinical practice, with a particular focus on the impact of neuropathic pain on the quality of life of people with diabetes.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

Explain how painful diabetic neuropathy impacts on the quality of life of people with diabetes

Interpret the evidence underpinning individualised treatment strategies to best manage painful diabetic neuropathy in clinical practice

Recommend individualised treatment strategies for typical people with painful diabetic neuropathy
