My name is Professor Miles Fisher. I’m a Clinical Diabetologist working in Glasgow Royal Infirmary and an Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow. We have seen that the treatment of cholesterol and the treatment of glycaemia with specific agents, such as SGLT-2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists, is of clear benefit in reducing cardiovascular risk and cardiovascular disease in people with diabetes. We’re now going to address two areas where there’s a bit less certainty, and these two areas are around targets for the treatment of blood pressure and also the use of aspirin in people with diabetes.
