Hello. My name is Solomon Tesfaye and I am a consultant physician and endocrinologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. My title today is diabetic neuropathy.

To introduce our course on diabetic neuropathy, this module looks at the various types of diabetic neuropathic disorder, with particular focus on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). We outline the heavy toll diabetic neuropathy exacts on people with diabetes and on health services, and examine the benefits of particular approaches to screening and early detection.
